DRAWmoji is a playful app for drawing enthusiasts. The main goal of the app is to develop drawing skills in a fun and interesting way using the familiar emoji language. The course’s goal was to create an interactive experience that helps develop new habits.
Problem
Most of the drawing games are based on language and vocabulary, excluding those who don't speak that language.

Question
How to build a playful and fun drawing app that everyone can understand and enjoy?

Solution
Use emojis as a globally recognized language for users worldwide.
Research
I tested different drawing games on the internet and in the app store such as: Draw it, Draw Something and Quick Draw. Then I wrote down the things that work and things that don't. In addition, I asked people around me about their experience with drawing games, and tried to come up with different ideas for game rules and concept for my app.

Ideation
By testing and researching different drawing games, I drew conclusions and insights that shaped my understanding of areas to enhance in the app. Then, I tried to come up with a visual language that would best suit my goal of creating a fun game app that can suit users worldwide.
Visual Design
The emoji language guides my design approach: the colors are drawn from the emojis palette and the overall app design is vector-besed, inspired by different game apps and the illustrative style of emojis.
